Subject: Ross thrust bearing

Hi, fellow rotary enthusiasts....just returned from Tracy
Crook's
Rotary
Roundup. What a pleasure
it was to meet such wonderful hosts such as Tracy and Laura.
They
really
went the extra mile in
providing good food, conversation and friendship. I met Paul
Lamar,
Fink, Robert (he makes the 2
cycle oil pumps for the Mazda), and so many other knowlegable
people. I
wish the weather had
allowed more to attend.
As I mentioned in the past, I have a Ross redrive, and I
was
trying
to find help in the
installation of the thrust bearing modification. I removed the
Ross
from
the engine, and started
to disassemble it. Upon looking at the shaft, I found a bearing
that
might possibly be already
installed. Attached is a picture of what I found. If anyone is
familiar
with what I have, I sure
would appreciate any information regarding this bearing. Thank
you
in
advance for your replies.

Paul the photograph is the 2.85 redrive with 'Top Hat' thrust
bearing
holder
designed by Jerry Bass. I have a spare one free.
Ian.

Hi, Ian....thanks for helping to identify my redrive. I just assumed it
was
2/17 to one instead of 2.85 ratio. Yes, I would love to have some spare
parts for my redrive. Also glad to pay for them. Please let me know how
much
you'd like for it, plus shipping. Again, thanks for your offer of
assistance

Sorry Paul but Peter Cowen got in first.
