The pedal ratio is on the order of six to one and a big guy
can exert over 200 pounds. That is a force of 1200 pounds.
Master cylinders range from .5 inch diameter to one inch diameter.
Let's say it is a half inch. The area is 1/4 X 1/4 X pi or pi
divided by 16 or .19635 area in square inches. That
will give a brake line pressure of about 6000 psi.
A one inch diameter cylinder has a an area of pi/4 or
or .7854. 1200/.7854 is 1500 psi.
