I was looking at our mount and if you made new standoff blocks to
replace Tracy's lower ones they
could just rotate a bit and be perpendicular to the beam. All this
makes the assembly super rigid.
Yes, overkill for some but it is nearly free so why not do it?
Now if you could just get someone to do an FEA on the redrive
plate pocketing based on the bolt
patterns and standoffs.

Somebody was supposed to be doing that FEA. But Jerry Hey hung 600 foot
pounds on it and it deflected way less than a degree. And that was
without the additional support at the bottom of the plate you
would get with your scheme. I am totally confident that it
is way more stiff than necessary. Much more confident than
I would be with any FEA. Here is a picture.

The pan plate could be machined out of 1/2" thick material and
incorporate the Schertz Crisssi beam one piece. Then we could dove
tail that to the MMP. Disregarding weight and expense, why not?
