In know that FI engines shouldn't be prone to intake icing, but I'm

   Check out this photo and notice the plate under the carb, I run
water through this plate for carb deicing and it works fine but to be
honest I only turn it on when I am in critical places and in bad
condition for icing and I fly in real bad conditions scud running
next to the water with 100 ft ceiling or less without the water to
the plate turned on and it just wont ice up.
  I think it may be from the bark back into the carb do to the overlap
in the port timing and the oil mixed in the gas that creates an oil
film inside of the carb.
