 Open the engine and transfer the intake port opening and closing

events onto

 the rotor housing at the apex seal. Extend the lines across the face

of the

 housing with a straight edge. Those two lines will be the top and
bottom of a
 very mild P port. Leave about 5/8" on the sides. Look at Paul Yaw's

Thanks for writing that Lynn?   It clears up my "thinking" on the
subject.  Would the intake port be timed the same for a six port as a
four port?   My engine is a six port.  I have one 12A and two 13B
rotor housings  to practice on.  If they are not enough, I will get
more.   At some point, however, I will be able to do the PP
modification.   Tom if you are thinking of doing this, I would
appreciate a step by step account.  I will do the same for you.

   Although Racing Beat insists on  a new housing, I don't see any
reason why a  used housing that is in good shape cannot be used.
Racing Beat wants $900.00 for a PP housing.   I bet we can do it for
$200.00 if we don't have to replace the housing.  I don't want to
under estimate the difficulties but it looks like boring two holes
and turning two inserts to me.       Jerry

Jerry,
I just saw an add for a 13b motor (no year) PP for $1,000.00 Aust dollars
which is
about $500 US. However I suspect it's a racing motor - they do the PP
professionally down here. I can enquire to the cost if you wish.
