Paul, someone mentioned some Russian research that indicated square
pipes were effective at noise suppression in exhaust systems. Do you
know if this is fact or fiction?
I have mocked up my Velocity headers in pvc and am ready to build in
stainless and would use sq pipe for the last foot or so of each tailpipe
if it would be of any benefit. I have the bends and straight in 321
stainless .035 wall, but have not been able to find 1-3/4 or 1-5/8 321
tubing in .035 wall thickness.

I don't really know for sure. Makes sense to me as it is likely
to homogenize the emitted frequencies. Can you find .049?
won't add that much weight. About .3 pounds per foot.
