the output shaft (some exceptions are Corvair, English aircraft

engines,

and

DKW). redrives using 2.17
versions of the planetary set,  reverse rotation from the input, and

2.85 do

not -  so choose your prop
on that basis - Vance J.

True Vance.  But add many Honda auto engines to the "backwards" list.

You are very right Tracy, and I should not have forgotten that. My #1 son is
very precise and picky - he made the dealer take back a new Honda Accord
because it was low on the driver side front. The backward turning Honda
engine sets on the already overloaded driver side and the made no
correction in the suspension. They "solved" the problem by issuing
a dealer bulletin opening the ride height tolerance. He got a full
refund, and after measuring about 60 Toyotas in anther deakers lot,
 he bought a Toyota. - He now has a BMW
