We are going to have to do something about dwg files.
Too much of my time is taken up converting them to something
everybody can read. Namely a gif. Not everyone has ACAD
and ACAD dwg files do not export or import from version to version.
Especially backwards. Same goes for DXF and to a lessor
extent IGES.

In ACAD R12 you select configure and then select a plotter.
Most people don't own a real plotter so you can then select
a "Raster File Export" in ACAD speak. Then when it comes time
select "plot". This will generate a gif file of your drawing
on your hard disk. So please.... send that instead of sending
me a useless drawing file.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your patience. My ACAD LT does not allow me to do what you
suggested. May be an upgrade is due.

What I have done is save it in Word, which I will send. I'll also forward it
in .dxf, just in case you can do something with it.

I also tried the photoshop route that Chrissi suggested and attach this as
well. Hope you will be able to read one of them. I figure what you don't need
is easily deleted.

The third gif attachment worked fine.

Please don't send DXFs or Word files. Export or print to disk Word files 
to ASCII or jpgs or gifs (bmps if you absolutely must).
