Get a bigger hammer!  Be sure to pad the end of the E-shaft with a chunk

of

aluminum.  It SHOULD come apart easily (smaller hammer needed) after the
initial movement.

Before you get too medieval with this thing you might consider placing it in
the oven at about 300 F or so to see if it makes it any easier to remove. I
know that some of the motorcycles I have worked on are impossible to
disassemble without the use of heat. If it is attached to something and you
can't get it in the oven, a hot plate or as a last resort a torch can be
used CAREFULLY; not too much heat in one spot.
