Looks like all parts are newly designed.
We won't have to buy the GM/Corvette coils anymore.
The new front cover looks die cast.
I am sure that plastic intake manifold is lighter
weight than the current cast aluminum version.
If any of you have calculated the air speed through
the intake manifold yet you will appreciate the importance
of the wall smoothness of an injected molded plastic
intake manifold :-)

In this vein Abel Ibarra mentioned to me he had his
stock manifold extrude honed. It is remarkable he can
get enough air through the stock manifold to achieve
800 HP.

Too bad we don't have a picture of the RX8 motor intake side.

I am pretty sure they are still cast iron. What you might be seeing
is the new die cast front cover.
