Actually, not as simple as one might assume.  For example, Mazda's
implementation of the Wankel uses assymetrically sized cooling
passages to help the engine avoid taking on a banana shape.  If one
were to try to run it backwards, the cooling
passages would be exactly wrong, and the engine would have a
tremendous tendency to bend into a banana shape.

housings.

Thats right.  But if you are already building custom aluminum end housings,
just mirrow image them.
