That's true Bob but the shaft is kind of puny on the accessory
end.

One does not use the accessory end.  Belt drive from forward facing engine
to outside drive shaft (short), belt drive from rearward facing engine to
inside (long) shaft.  A couple guys from, I think somewhere in South America
flew this type system to Oshkosh a few years back.

OH OK. Belt drive. Come to think of it my Reno racer design using
counter rotating prop uses the belt drive configuration. I was assuming
the guy wanted to build a conventional twin but the belt drive
trick will work for that too. The various
and assorted gear PSRU's are the market all seem to have different
ratios. Would be interesting to fly a twin with a 2.85 on one side
and a 2.17 on the other :-)
