Paul,
How do you think you would go with your new found skills in mould
making, in doing the bell
housing you had previously designed.
What is the minimum thickness your foundry will accommodate ? you
have
suggested they will
accommodate fairly thin wall sections for non-injection type
moulding.

The big problem with doing a bell housing casting is the pattern
is too large for the 3D machine. I would have to pay big bucks to
have the pattern made. the foundry can do .140 wall and I will soon
have some parts with about that wall thickness.

Paul,
You should be able to do it in sections, bolt it together, blend any
joints
and hey presto, a pattern!!
Or am I being too simplistic?
George

I am thinking about it?

Paul
I can't believe the thinness of those mouldings - but that's great !!

Now we have the bellhousing solved - what about new aluminium end plates.

I'm not being too pushy Paul - am I ?

I might do one of those night courses, what was it (subject) that you did ?
George (down under)

The foundry I use does all the castings for Turbonetics among
many other Southern California manufacturers of after market
automotive performance products.
