Paul.   I'm ROGER an A&P from Atl,Ga. I have a thought about cooling. You've probably already
discussed this, but if you could install the radiator horizonally in the tail. I haven't heard
this addressed yet. The front of the rad. elevated about 30 degrees,a scoup under the belly with a
reversed scoup on top of the tail. This to be scrouded in with metal above and below the
rad.inside the tail.There not as much drag this way. Any thoughts??

This certainly can be made to work. Drawbacks are the extra plumbing
and weight of the extra antifreeze in the system at about 8 pounds
per gallon. With proper scoops and ducts the cooling drag can of course be
made low. The required P51 type scoop adds overall frontal area to the aircraft
which is also a drawback.
