As am I! It is good to pool the experiences of many to come to an
includive design! I totally forgot that even tho my 20B has 3 knock
sensors on it!!!
The difficulty would be in what the signal would produce (it must be
automatic and instantaneous to retard the timing or it is probably
of
little use). Still, the ability should be there.

Knock sensor processors are hard to do. You need a simple amp and
a switch to put the knock sensor sound into the intercom system.

From what I've learned about incipient knock in rotaries, is that by the
time you realize it is happening, it is too late. If the amp would
somehow make it possible to signal in enough time to do something about
it (reaction time) it may work.

I agree Marc but at least it will tell you you have a broken
apex seal :) That is probably most true in a 2 mm apex seal set
but I plan on replacing my 2 mm apex seals with 3 mm seals.
Digital signal processing to detect knock is tough. Perhaps
Russell Kent would like to undertake this project.
