Marc, you may have missed the first post, so here it is again.  The
exhaust wrap covered the heat shield, NOT the exhaust tubing.  Kerry
Woods is a very meticulous builder who regularly checked the integrity

of both his first generation exhaust and this second generation system

which failed.  We feel that this exhaust was not cracked for long
before total failure.  As someone else posted earlier, it is easy to
be a Monday morning quarterback!  Many more answers to the questions
which are generating much conjecture will be available on our website

Anything which would prevent a mishap such as this is valuable
information. I wonder what the reason is for wrapping an exhaust shield?
I have never heard of that. I guess I did miss that the PIPES were not
wrapped, which is more common.
BTW, the ss 20B racing turbo manifold I have has 2 double leg
buttresses/gussets welded to each pipe at the flanges and is welded
inside. Seems this is a known failure point to the racers out
there......BUT the 2 rotor ss one DOES NOT. I'll have to add it.
