I am trying to determine the feasibility of making a single
rotor e-shaft from 2 pieces of a standard 13B e-shaft. If
feasible, this could avoid the precision bearing grinding
and hardening steps normally required.

Here are some pictures of a homemade three rotor e-shaft made for a 3 rotor 12A.
Don't know where they came from, just have them filed under 3 rotor 12A.
If I remember correctly the center bearing is a roller/ball bearing made to fit a modified housing
of some sort.
