Looks correct.

Release the green drum and hold the red drum and you have reverse.

Uh, no. Hold the red drum and one end of the pinions stop.  The other
end of the pinions appears to be held by the purple output shaft, so
either the purple shaft stops, too, or the pinions come loose.  Did you
forget a piece, Paul?

Looks like you are right again Russell. Looks like we need another
one way clutch. Or some dog clutches to connect the out put shaft
either to the ring gear or the planet carrier. I am open to
suggestions. Got any ideas Vance?

Sounds like I shot from the hip, To use one planetary you need a bunch
of clutches and brakes (about 2 of each). A possible (I think)
is two planetaries and two brakes (ie "bands" ) I will nave to
look up the "T" box but this is probably it (picture)

I think I can do it with one more one way clutch.

OK here it is. I think this will do it. Two one way clutches.
One for one direction and the other for the other direction.
Super small and super cheap 300 HP boat tranny :)
The one way clutches are standard auto tranny parts.
