Galpin Ford here in the San Fernando valley is ridiculous.
they are quoting $33,000 list price for the six speed.
A $595 Lo Jack (Hi Jack?) is a mandatory addition  and they want
an interest free loan (deposit) of $1000 for six to eight
months.  Supposedly  they ordered 9 and two are sold supposedly.
Colors are red, silver, steel gray, black and yellow.
They have two auto's and the rest are six speeds.
The lying salesman feelings are the six speed will be far
more popular. I balked at the $1000 deposit and he smiled 
and started lecturing me on how many cars Galpin sells per day.
I told him I did not care if Galpins gross national product
was greater than the US. Not my problem:)

I still will shop around but if this turns out to be typical
I will hold off for six months or a year. Until they get
the bugs out :)
