Paul,
How does the new intake differ from a modified stock lower
intake? Are
the passages more efficient? Is there more area to mount the upper intake
runners?

I went down that route. It was a long one:) First I need, (and others need),
a manifold that sits right down on the top of the engine. It also must clear
the stock turbo charger. I tried cutting down a stock manifold.
The resulting holes were not round or even oval shaped. Worse they
went off at odd angles. It offended my mechanical and esthetic senses.
I can't be seen with something that looks like a Junk Yard Wars lash up :)
I considered making a composite manifold at length but finally rejected
the idea as being marginal when it came to heat. It also might not
survive a minor fire. I checked with a pattern maker and he wanted
too much money to make a casting pattern. $5000 at this stage of the
rotary engine market is excessive. So I learned how to make
patterns myself.

Paul,
I am interested in a manifold but do not need it right a way, so
if someone needs one put me on the list for the next batch. I think the
injector holders will be needed also. Thanks.
