Chrissi, I thought that you were after an A/R ratio in excess of
1.0. Isn't the A/R
ratio in most sports cars far less then 1.0 for acceleration
purposes? Aviation
turbos I believe are around 1.3. Please correct me if im wrong. but
the smaller the
ratio, the faster it will accelerate to increase velocity not
volume. ????
This is such a great forum.
As I got it from Greg: "The .81 A/R keeps you out of the surge range and
in the middle of the 55
map. A 1.0 A/R pushes you closer to the edge of the map than I'd like to
see."
Since I'm a dummy in this area I am just following informed opinions.
The industry experts
themselves if such exist won't help due to liability issues.

Paul,
Does the RX8 have turbos? How are they claiming 250hp out of the 1.3L
without turbos? Nothing in their literature or on the web for the RX8
mentions turbos, and the local (loco?) dealer says it is n/a.
Thanks.
Tim
No turbo's yet. They run the piss out of it... up to 9300 RPM.
The intake ports are 30% larger and the exhaust ports are 100%
larger than the 1993 and up RX7's. The rotors are lighter weight.
Thats about it.
