The stock Mazda injectors (normally aspirated) are around 50 lb/hr.

One

builder got away with using 36 lb/hr parts but I wouldn't recommend

anything

less.  The EC2 can be used with either type (low or high impedance)

but a 5

ohm resistor in series must be used with the low impedance type.

(This is

what Mazda does too)

I used the diffusers on the primary injectors but not on the

secondaries.

Didn't seem to make any difference at high throttle where the

secondaries

kick in.

OK - 36 lb injectors are expensive - $370 for a set of 8 at Summit.

42lb are $459 and 50lb are $600 at Downs Ford.

The pressure for these ratings is 38 PSI.  The Mustang Mags carry

several advertisers for these items.

Ken, if you think the set of 8 for $370 at Summit is expensive, try a set of
4 for $500 for brand-new Mazda 13B injectors.  The last I checked Mazdatrix
had them for around $235 EACH, OUCH!  So, I get a number of used ones for
$30-$50 each and clean and test them   Out of 10 used ones I find 2-3 bad
ones.  One of those $50 injector testers (pulse generators) can give you a
fairly good way of separating the bad/good ones.  The bad ones either don't
give the clicking sound (of injector solenoid) or it is muted compared to a
good injector.  Not a completely fool proof method, but works most of the
time. I have heard that places like RC engineering do a good job of cleaning
and providing good injectors at a reasonable price, but I have no personal
experience with them.

Unfortunately Mazda appears to be ripping people off for parts.
Especially electrical parts they don't make like ignition
modules and injectors. 

I think Auto Zone or some other auto parts stores probably sell
exactly the same thing for way less money. I sent some email to
Nippon Denso to see if they have an after market catalog.

Another possibility is check with a Toyota dealer and see if
they too are overcharging on injectors. I am willing to
bet the same part is used on a four cylinder 2.5 L or above 
Toyota engine.
