Yes, but would lower cowl temperatures.

Maybe what we need is a black coating on the outside of the pipe to cool the
pipes and then use a SS shield with a flow of cooling air between the two.

What do you think would happen if we chromed the inside of the pipes?

Of course a lot of this is going away when the RX8 engine comes on line.
