Hi forgive my stupidness but I was wondering has there been alloy rotor
end plates made for the
12a rotary , I have been an avid Subaru man with over 350 engines built
and flying but the rotary
is the next progression do you know of anyone who has done this and
perhaps a contact email or
website .

I would be very interested in finding out .

And please take a look at the aircraft that I designed and now
manufacture its a 2 seat high
performance machine all composite see it at www.cobraaviation.com.au

Many thanks if you have any info or just your thoughts on the aircraft
Regards Tom Wickers

Your airplane looks very nice.

The 12A and the 13B are similar enough that the alloy end plates built and
sold
by Racing Beat will probably fit the 12A. I would check with Racing Beat.

See our web site below for a link to Racing Beat.

Hi Tommy,

For those who don't know, Tommy is the Cobra Arrow builder down in Melbourne
Australia and I've been suggesting the Rotary to him as an option for his
kit built Aircraft..

The end plates will save about 50 lbs but will cost $1,500 a piece US -
although the exchange rate is a little better at the moment, I would still
hate to think what the cost will be in Aussie dollars.
The 13B, series 3 or 4 are the best end plates for the 12A rebuild.

By the way Tommy we may have Mike O'sullivan of The Spitfire (80% scale)
Supermarine, interested in the 13B. I believe you know each other well
through Aviation circles.

Can't say were not trying to educate some of the most progressive people in
Aviation in Australia, on the benefits of the Mazda Rotary!!

BTW Paul has the 13B been certified in Europe yet? - I'm almost sure I've
seen that mentioned here on ACRE.

George (down under, Brisbane)

I have heard noting recently rom Mecan Air in Europe.
