Subject: Oil filter by-pass block - 3rd gen and 20B

Racing Beat has a nice oil cooler by-pass block for use with a remote
mounted oil filter; except it doesn't apply to 3rd generation, or 20B
engines, where the oil return goes into the block beneath the filter.

I'm going to have a similar block made that will have the 16mm port
(I
think that's what it is) and also include a port for oil feed to the
re-drive. If anyone else needs one of these we can make a few when
we
have the setup and save some $.

I just used a 3/4 inch thick block of aluminum and cut holes for the oil
passages and bolts. I
then tapped the oil passages with a npt thread and presto, remote oil
filter block. I then took
the oil filter mount and threaded the oil passage holes for NPT thread
and, with the addition of
oil lines I have a remote oil filter setup, and for minimum $.
