Paul,
I'm still studying the best way to go with my PSRU.
and need some information.
What is the planetary gear bearing (plain or needle roller) in the C6/E4OD planet.
Also need to know what the material the sun gear is made of.as I'm considering cutting a spline
into the sun gear centre (as opposed to a shrink fit to the shaft, as I assume most are using).
Any information would be appreciated as these questions come from an Aviation Engineer from the
Sydney University who has offered assistance in the total project.

Its a needle bearing in the planet gears.
I have no idea on the sun gear material. Could be 4340 or some other chrome
molly alloy. I'll bet it is hardened however. You'll play hell cutting a spline
I would wager.
