What size is that radiator?

The rad is a Scirocco drag race built by Griffin.  I bought it
from
Summit.    It is a double pass design.  The core is 13 x 18 x
2.5 =
585 cu in.  Overall is 13 x 22.   Jerry

May we ask how much this radiator cost, and what horsepower you
expect it to
cool!!!

The rad's cu.in are its plus and its thickness is the negative.  I
am
hoping to cool 220 hp regardless of outside temp and throttle
setting
but only time will tell.  Inlet size, duct shape, and plenum wedge
shape are all optimum according to what Paul has proposed thus far.
The louvers looks like they could suck the chrome off a trailer
ball.
So I got my fingers crossed.   I bought the rad a year ago for
around
$200.00. It has since been chopped  up so many times, I am welding
patches to the  patches.   If I were buying it again, I might pay a
little more to Griffin directly to have the mounting studs and the
pipe fittings welded on.  While they were at it they could leave
off
the filler neck.  The one thing I really like about this rad is
that
it is only 13 inches wide by 22 inches long overall.   It fits
under
the rotary like it was built for it.  Jerry

   I thought that Griffin was a glued radiator so I have steered away
from them and have been buying Northern radiators as they are welded.

Griffin is first welded and then epoxied.  Other  companies such as C &
R make Scirocco style rads as  well and do not use epoxy.   Jerry
