I thought that Griffin was a glued radiator so I have steered
away
>from them and have been buying Northern radiators as they are
welded.

it says on the griffin site that they are heli-arc welded.

That's the tanks. The tubes are furnace brazed.
The epoxy is to help seal the welds.

Is this good, bad or ugly? what is suggested or preferred alternative
and appropriate size for 300 hp?

300/200 = 1.5 x 525 cubic inches = 787 cubic inches.
This is a wild ass guess. All depends on how well you get the air in and
out. We don't have enough good systems around to judge.
