The strain gages on the 1 inc dia prop shaft was OK till they told me
they were going to telemeter the data with a tiny transmitter spinning
with the prop. The signal will be very noisy (4 cylinder engine)
but I suggested an integrating digital voltmeter instead of filtering
(we used that system to determine total delivered impulse in rocket
pulses as short as 5 milliseconds and the meter would even correct for
thr ring out out of the thrust stand. Maybe there is a good place inside
the PSRU where we would not even have to use slip rings,. Vance
That's the hard way. Just measure the motor mount reaction.
