hi all, i met a fellow at oshkosh , i think it must have been in 00 or 01. he was
responsble for the hard surfacing on the aluminum housings on the OMC single rotor engine. i told
him what we needed for the mazda 13b engines and he thought they could do the side housings for
about $150.00 each. the al rotor housing on the OMC is coated with tungsten carbide, the side
housings with molybdumin and something we have not identified yet. on the two engines i have
there was a little wear on the side housings and none on the rotor housing, i was impressed. he

Walt, we are hard anodizing our housings. No coatings of any kind. We are using the stock rotor housings
so no need for anything there.
