Mark:

The turbo is the only muffler needed on the 20B unless you really want a
stealth airplane.  Inside the cabin noise levels are lower than a Cessna
182, but distinctively different.  I keep forgetting to activate my headset
ANR feature.

For obvious reasons, I've never heard the external noise levels at high
power settings.  Comments from others include: Sounds great; Sounds smooth;
Sounds like a diesel; It sounds quiet and powerful; Sounds almost like a
turbine, but different.  One observer noted that from below he can
distinguish between the high pitch sound of the prop and the low roar of the
engine.

I was up to 17,500 feet last Friday, pulling 32 inches MP.  A small oil leak
from the PSRU has been getting worse.  Finally pulled the Ross gearbox apart
yesterday (with considerable apprehension) to replace the RTV seal where the
gearbox mates to the bell housing.  Everything looks OK to this
non-engineer.  Did extract a loose piece of blue silicone looking
squeeze-out from behind the sun gear.  Reassembly today.

Spectacular and fantastic Tom. NOW we are starting to see the REAL tremendous 
potential of the turbo charged rotary. Keep  Up the wonderful work.
32 inches Hg MP at 17,000 feet is just plain great. That thing ought to really
pick them up and lay them down when you get the right prop on there! 

Tom do you think you might make Sun & Fun? You could form up with Chuck Dunlap
and the two or three of you could fly out from Arizona together.
You could also outrun Chuck at will of course :)
