Hello Paul,

Thank you for the reply. I do get the joke. Perhaps only those who are well versed in structural engineering would probably "get" it.
One does tend to have to wear these sorts of jibes a bit,  but rest assured, I am basically a very genial person and do not take offence easily.
But by drawing such a long Bowstring, it does show How the joker is made to look a bit of a Pratt,  especially if one doesn't allow the Burr to become an irritant!

Actually, Warren Truss not an uncommon name.  Incidentally, the Truss ancestory in the USA appears to go back to Germany and Poland and Russia.
>From what I gather,  some of the Truss men were Hessian soldiers prior to and during the US war of independance. Records appear to go back as far as 1770 in the US.
Some of the other Truss came to the US from England,  and there is abundance of Truss names on the Ellis Island registers.
One day when I have the time and the inclination, I will do some more extensive research and see if I can track down my ancestry more accurately.
Anyway, do you have any suggestions about aircraft and engines and PSRUs that will take the sorts of gyroscopic forces that aerobatic aircraft are subjected to?

Well perhaps the joke perpetrators were your parents.
Tracy Crook builds a gear box capable of aerobatics with a wood prop.
The problem is it will not accommodate a hydraulic  constant speed prop.
Also the rotary is not suitable for sustained inverted and knife edge flight because of
oil drain back problems. All these problems could be overcome but it
would not be cheap.
