Where is the best place to inject- straight into the
port or just downstream of the throttle body? Also,
better to use a single throttle body and split the
flow (how evenly?) or use smaller dual throttle
bodies.
Thanks folks.

Joa, Honda's 500cc V4 GP (200 hp!) motorcycle engine tried direct, crankcase, transfer port and
reed cage injection. Direct makes great power but was extreamly peaky. This is made worse by the
cost of injectors and added complication. They found the best combination of power and drivability
in transfer port injectors. All the FI 2 strokes were less drivable than their carburated
counterparts! This may be due to the state of tune on these engines though. You also need to
design for direct feed of lube to the bearings. Premix doesn't work when the mixture doesn't see
the bottom end! If your engine wasn't designed for FI to begin with it could be a costly
conversion if you don't inject into the crankcase. Bill Jepson
