Are you sure? I have a hard time believing that it only weights 10 lbs. Can anyone verify this?

Not sure but that is the ball park number. I have the 9 pound six pinion planet set
in one hand and the e-shaft in the other and they are about the same. The e-shaft
is only slightly heavier. Don't have a scale in the office.

Does anyone out there have a 13 B apart? If so, could you please weigh the e-shaft?

Even if I am wrong by 50% and it is 15 pounds. Obviously it is impossible
to reduce the weight by 15 pounds. Don't go messing around with the
e-shaft. You could introduce stress concentration points that could lead
to failure.

A 12A shaft weights 15.5 lbs with oil jets, the 13B shaft weights 16 lbs without the oil jets, first
gen shaft.
It is longer than the A shaft but has lightening holes in both ecentrics.
They could be enlarged slightly and the center section could be smoothed to reduce the weight by a few
ounces, maybe a lb at the most.
