I don't think we ought to mess with the 2.85:1 drive. I think we should

focus on

the 3.15:1 drive as the RX8 motor will come on like gangbusters as within

a year

there will be at least 18,000 of them in the US alone. Ford/Mazda is also

making noises

like a whole bunch of cars will be using the RX8 motor. A new RX7, Miata,
convertible RX8, etc., etc.. The last shaft I uploaded was scaled to the
3.15:1 gear set.

No mention of a three rotor in the future. Actually what
was mentioned was a larger two rotor with 90 mm (3.5") wide rotor

housings.

Max RPM would be about the same but torque would be higher....

particularly

down low where it is needed for the cars. Max HP might be no higher
as breathing areas would be substantially the same unless a peripheral
ports where used.

 I heard a rumour that they might be looking at a version of the 10A for
smaller vehicles - don't ask me where I got that info, as I can't confirm
it.
