Contact Mazda for hydrogen fuel info. I think they wrote a few SAE
papers on the subject. As I recall they felt the engine was well
suited to hydrogen fuel.

Richard, Mazda did indeed test with hydrogen, and found the rotary very well suited to it. It is
possible that the H2 testing restarted the all sideport engine (RX8) since this engine is great
with H2 due to the control of overlap. They did both manifold and direct injection. Direct was
better but more complex. Bill Jepson
