True, that would work for picking it up at the firewall but eventually I
want to lift at the C of G so then the wings would get in the way. But thanks
for a practical low effort solution.

Sorry; I was too brief in the explanation. One ladder behind the left wing, the other in front of the right. Diagonal 2x10's passing over the cg. If you want 'belt & suspender's security, add a 4x4 vertically under each ladder to take the vertical load, then the ladders just provide stability.

(This wasn't y original idea. Someone on the RV list mentioned it as an
alternative to the purchase of an engine hoist which has only one real use.
