He is still working on it. The site needs to be such so that

people

can download from it large files up to about 10 meg each.
Each Mazda SAE paper is about 10 meg  of pdf file format.
I takes too long to do that and in most case not even possible
by email. Many ISPs have email size limits. With Earthlink it is

five meg.

I spent a lot of time scanning in the Mazda SAE papers I had
and converting them to pdf format for the original
site that then offered them for download.  For awhile.

The pdf format is necessary because of the detailed graphics
and small type used in many illustrations. With the pdf format
you can zoom in for the details.

Lets hope Russell is successful. My work load would be greatly

reduced

if everybody down loaded these technical papers and became

familiar

with

all aspects of the Mazda rotary engine.

I have also suggested to Mazda that they update and republish
Kenichi Yamamoto's 1981 book Rotary Engine. There is nothing like

it

to effectively educate people on the advantages of the rotary
engine. IMHO the reason why the rotary is not more popular is
because almost no one understands it. Present company excepted.

have down loaded them earlier from the pervious site.  Having spend

many

hours scanning in hundereds of photos for my genealogy work of the

family, I

can understand.

   Wouldn't it be excellent if Mazda took your suggestion!  Hell,

they

might

make  more profit selling the book {:>).

I hand delivered a copy of the "old" site to Russell.  Turns out he was
only 5.6 miles from the house.  I burned an extra copy for you and will
put it in the mail tomorrow.  All the material came from you and you
probably still have it, but I thought it couldn't hurt for you to have a
copy of the site.  A few of these spread around might be prudent as one
of them is bound to be up at any given time.

The old site is up.  The old site has been up for a few days now.
www.thecarricos.com\ACRE.  The Only current issue is that if the power
flakes out for more than 10 minutes (350 UPS), the machine will shut
down and not reboot until I notice it is down.

I don't know if you have any more room on the ACRE CD, but you might
offer it there for folks that are bandwidth limited.  It is a ton of
information to digest, and having a CD of it might be worth a little
extra $$ to most people on the list.

How many would be interested in paying $40 for a CD with all the Mazda 
papers on it? I might get in trouble with the SAE if I did that.
