I would be worried about an in-flight fire as well. One of the reasons
for not using a composite manifold.

Paul, There are several self extinguishing resins available. No problem for a manifold. I would be
more concerned for the motor mount though. Bill Jepson

I was also concerned about the manifold melting and having the engine quit
as a result.
