It is best to have the back side of the rad
completely and totally unobstructed. In this case there
should be louvers
along the right side of the cowl.

Paul, has anyone tried two small radiators in the "cheeks" of the cowl? 
Using a side outlet like the Thorpe 18. I have started a model for this but 
havnt finished yet. Your printing of the truck engine outlet got me started. 
Peter Garrison also used this arrangement on his first Melmoth with great 
success. Bill Jepson

The Thrope style side outlets are OK. I am not so sure about two small
rads in the cheeks. The big problem with the Thorpe outlets
is they are not really compatible with a modern large area
thin radiator as the cowling would be too close to the back side
of the rad. Use louvers instead.
