You can buy a dry sump system from Mazda Racing made by Power Sport
for big bucks. I vaguely remember something like $1800. I think
a flat.. extra wide pan like the RX8 oil pan might work as an airplane
never high G corners in a flat attitude like a car does. An airplane does pitch
up and down a bit so that would have to be taken into consideration.

15" long by 14" wide by 2 inches deep would give about  seven quarts 
if my aritmatic is right and if you could figure a good way to bolt 
it to the bottom of the engine. 

An aluminum casting with a bunch of fins inside and out would be ideal 
but a bit heavy. It would not do all the oil cooling but it might help. 
I'll draw something up when I get a bit of time.
