and they're asking for $150,000! to do the design work on the plane I've
already done the configuration work on (that part they quoted $3,500 for
if I hadn't done it yet).

Anyone know of a way a non-engineer but, technically knowledgable guy
can put together an airplane and survive in it?

Vance might be able to help you out for a lot less money. He has designed
several very successful composite experimental airplanes
