Is the diesel in the above discussion turbo-charged or n/a.  If it is
turbo'ed, is this fair comparing hp/torque numbers with a

n/a gas

engine?  Seems like an unfair advantage to me.

Mark, The diesel is turbocharged. It isn't an unfair advantage though, whatever improves your efficency does the deed. The unfair comparison is leaving out the weights. The diesel is a great lump. 1000 lbs. You get more performance from the lighter gas engine. If you had to stake your life on a drag race between the two trucks, which would you bet on?
I have a turbo diesel Dodge, and like it, and I'm betting on the gas engine!
