I made a copy of the plans for the tube beader that was in contact

mag a

few years ago intending to make one myself, but never did. A Fedex
machinist who was in my a/p class in Memphis opined that it wasn't

the

best he had seen, but might work for awhile, he wanted to beef it

up,

but we never got around to it. I found the drawing, and if you like

will

send it to you, (wish I could scan if, I could fax it), so send me
whatever works best to get it to you and I will send it to you.

Plans were in Contact issue 60, page 5. Is Contact still being
published?
Article says he used it on tubes from 1/2" to 1-1/2" made bead up to
.045" high bead, but .030 was more than enough. He also states the tube
must be in the soft annealed state. All on one page.

 Vance PS "contact" has been taken over by a new editor, and the first
new issue has been shipped - starting slow but looks promising - Vance

Vance sent the whole page but at 300K it was too big to publish.
