Paul &Butch,
I was considering this as part of my PSRU and bellhousing package.
My solution was to have an insert between the bellhousing and the PSRU - to
what ever additional length requirement. This then would reduce the need for
the extra long [output] shaft and keep it to about 3" - keeping it all modular
- what
do you think !?

Well that moves the CG of the PSRU. I was thinking of keeping the weight
of the PSRU as close to the engine as possible to ease (pardon the pun.)
the CG problem.

George;......Not only does the CG goes amock, but more important, the lengthened
Splined Shaft will have a short, short life span due to Torsional Resonance.
Been a personal witness to this at a local maiden ramp run-up of: -guess what??
a L-Eze.......Snapped in 9min-47seconds from start-up :( Sounded like a triple
10 ga ShotGun going off, follwed by a run-away engine, nearly peeid on myself :)
