Chuck, in away has done us all a big favor identifying this mode

of engine failure. I think we should all send him a check for
what ever we can afford
to help him pay of his engine over haul. He is going to need a

new rotor

housing and a new rotor for sure. Probably at least one new end

housing.

 Thanks for the offers, but I am in this with eyes wide open, if anyone
finds my experience valuable, just consider it a trade for all the tips
and valuable knowledge I get from everyone on this list.

Here are a couple of photos of the damage. The center housing was
untouched, the end housing had a small amount of metal displaced at the
edge of the inlet port, may be repairable by enlarging the ports. The
rotor and rotor housing are history. It was a new rotor housing, rotor
and end housing was used parts when I built this motor. I had about 80
hours on this motor, with Paul's TES oil O rings looking like new, will
likely reuse them.
