I had some large holes around my engine intake air scoop on the right
side armpit, do you remember that Paul? I closed them off with
streamlined fairings on Friday. Flew, oil temps increased by 10 to 20
degrees. The "leaks" were a source for air to flow through the cowl,
about the level of the oil pan. This makes me think the finned aluminum
oil pan will actually work. Also makes me think that the tractor
installations cool their oil better because they might have better
airflow around the engine and oil pan. So now I'm trying to come up with
a way to divert some of the belly NACA scoop air over the oil pan, but
unfortunately this may rob the coolant rad of some air.

Possible I guess. Worth a try.
