snips...

I don't use those hollow corner seals with the rubber plugs. They are made of
powdered iron, and break very easily, as many have discovered.

Lynn E. Hanover

What do you use for the corner seals Lynn? Jim Mosure just broke one.

Paul Lamar

Hey Paul, Lynn is using solid corner seals. They work much better then the 2 piece with the rubber button. I have replaced a
number or melted rubber buttons in my day. The solid ones work so much better. They are available from RacingBeat or (MFR) Mazda
Factory Race. The Mazda part number for it is 1011-11-321. Use those in conjunction with the corner seals springs from a 93-95
13B TT. Spring part number is NF01-11-C24. Don't forget to order quantity (12). MFR is located close to you in Irvine and thats
where I usually pick up the parts from.

Thanks for the info Doug. Are you listening Jim?
MFR? That is a new one on me. Is that an arm of Mazda Racing. Don't you have
to be a SCCA racer to get parts from them?

Paul Lamar

Paul, you've never heard of MFR, Mazda Factory Racing?
That is at least the racing parts arm, if not the whole racing arm.
Royce

New one on me. I thought they went by a different name.

Paul Lamar

Look in your "Racing Beat" tech manual, and you will see numerious parts listed for MFR.
Royce

Are you sure it is not MMS?

Peripheral Intake Port
Rotor Housings*

We offer five different types of Peripheral Intake Port Rotor Housings: four 13B models and one 12A model. The 12A model and one of the 13B
models are Mazda Factory Race (MFR) housings.

Because the MFR housing is relatively expensive we developed our own 13B Peripheral Port Housings -equal in performance to the MFR housing,
but at a substantally lower price. Our Racing Beat modified housing has not been approved by some sancting bodies, such as SCCA, while both
MFR housings have been approved.

Both the 12A and 13B MFR housings are designed to mount a MFR Peripheral Intake Manifold. A special Mazda O-ring is required to seal the
manifold to this housing. Note that the 12A and 13B MFR housings have an exhaust stud pattern that is much different from stock.
We offer spe------- bla, bla, bla.
