You could mount the rad under the right wing like this.
Outlet on the bottom. Any shape rad will work. The thinner the
better. No scoop... no duct work at all. By just changing the
mounting angle slightly you can increase and decrease the cooling
effect. The aft part of the rad can be in the wing. Or you could do
it under the fuselage just ahead of the landing gear. That makes the
plumbing simple. I guarantee it to work. It uses the Kays & London
wedge shaped diffuser.

I know the cosmetics are awful in this example but you
could clean them up.

Perry has had a lot of problems getting that oil cooler to work.
Could be his ducted fan.

How about this variation? Hinge the whole rad at the rear and use the
whole rad like a cowl flap? You could close in the sides
with wedge shapes. You would have to use a two-pass rad so
the hoses come out the rear so they don't have to move much
but do have to flex.

If the air comes from the left that is exactly what I had in mind.
If the air comes from the right there is a lot less incentive for
the air to go through the rad.
