I notice the RX8 has a little vibration coming up
through the rear floor pan. If you want to quiet it and reduce
the vibration get your self a $25 box of 1/8 inch thick Armstrong
Commercial Excelon Vinyl Composition Tile.
Each one foot square tile weighs 21 oz or about 
1 1/3 pound each. I think the main filler is crushed
rock.

Put two tiles on each floor space front and rear for
a total of 8. Cover with carpet. This should damp the 
noise and vibration greatly at a cost of about 10 pounds.
